Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Fix Flipped or Mirrored Self-Portrait Photos in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

When you use the front-facing camera in your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge to take a self-portrait photo, your phone will automatically save the photo as you see in the preview screen, in other words, your phone will flip the photo horizontally so that the left side in the original scene will be the right side in the photo or vice versa. If you don't like this auto flip feature, you can turn it off by disabling the save pictures as previewed feature in the Camera app to have your phone saves your self-portraits photo as its original scene.

How to disable the save pictures as previewed feature in the Camera app?
You can turn off this feature by using the following steps:
  1. On the Home screen, tap Apps at the bottom right corner of the screen to go to the apps menu and then tap the Camera app to open it. If the quick launch camera feature is enabled, you can quickly launch the Camera app from any screen by pressing the Home key twice in quick succession.
  2. If it's using the rear camera, tap to switch to the front camera for self portrait.
  3. Tap to view the detailed settings for the camera.
  4. Slide the ON/OFF switch next to Save pictures as previewed to the left to disable this option. The switch turns gray when it's disabled.
  5. From now on, your phone won't save your self-portrait photos as flipped or mirrored images.
