Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Take a Selfie-Shot Photo in Camera App in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

If you like to take a photo of yourself for private collections or to share it with others via social media to show them about your confidence and personality, you can take a selfie-shot photo with more easily by using the 5MP front camera in your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. If needed, you can also beautify your self portrait photo by using the beauty mode feature in the Camera app to let your phone takes some necessary adjustments to correct facial imperfections, e.g., acne, large pores, etc., for smoother and clearer face.


How to take a selfie-shot photo in the Camera app?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Camera app.
  2. If it's using the rear camera, tap to switch to the front camera for self-portraits. By default, the front camera uses selfie as the default shooting mode.
  3. Face the front camera lens. Make sure your face is not too close with the camera and gets enough lighting so that it can easily be detected.
  4. To use the beauty mode feature, tap and then drag the adjustment bar to the right or to the left to adjust the beauty mode level. The camera will detect your face and provide you the enhanced face preview in real time. If you see that your face looks unnatural or waxy, it'd better if you decrease the beauty mode level for a better result.
  5. Tap to take a photo of yourself. FYI, if you have difficulty in making a good selfie-shot photo by tapping the on-screen camera icon because it makes more shakes and blurriness in your photo, you can use other alternative ways to take a selfie-shot photo becomes easier and more convenient, e.g., by placing your finger on the heart rate sensor on the back of your phone, by showing your palm on the front camera lens, etc.
  6. Tap the preview thumbnail to see the photo in full screen view in the Gallery app.
